About this Object:

Our nearest neighbor in the solar system normally gets criticized by astronomers for being a light pollutant.  But is there a more beautiful and overlooked object in the night sky  than our own Moon?

The moon is covered with impact craters, a testimony to the Moon's violent past.  All it takes is a modest telescope or binoculars to see all this past activity.  Hopefully, the images here will let you see details of the Moon that you didn't know were there, giving you a new appreciation for this awesome wasteland of beauty.
